Here’s my story

“Restoring hospitality to its true purpose: creating a loving, inclusive environment for all people of all backgrounds.”

My mission centers on reshaping the concept of hospitality, emphasizing the creation of an all-encompassing and affectionate environment where people from diverse backgrounds and abilities are welcomed. My journey into the world of food started in a modest setting, where my family relied on food assistance from our church. From a young age, I recognized the transformative power of food to bring joy and forge connections, igniting a profound passion for cooking.

We extended this love by collaborating with our church to host Christmas lunches for the homeless and those in need. This experience underscored the inherent worth of every individual and the profound connections that shared meals can foster.

At the age of eleven, a severe bout of food poisoning and a subsequent diagnosis of Ulcerative Colitis reshaped my relationship with food. Overcoming disordered eating instilled in me deep empathy for individuals grappling with eating disorders.

When I was sixteen, I confronted homelessness, which deepened my understanding of food insecurity. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, I organized food drives and provided support to a shelter for women experiencing homelessness and domestic violence.

My own struggles have fueled my commitment to create a warm, nurturing atmosphere for all, emphasizing that hospitality transcends food; it is about unity, compassion, and love.
